Rockaway Records

Scott Johnson operates Rockaway Records in Carindale. He was new to big shopping centre retailing, having come from a suburban shopping centre on Brisbane’s southside, but Scott was not new to the world of music. Trading on a wide range of CD’s, new & vintage vinyl records and memorabilia, Scott was being encouraged to complete a full fitout of the store he had just taken over. A few years down the track, Scott still hasn’t done his fitout, but the store presentation has significantly improved, he has focused on his most profitable categories, and he now knows that his quirky fitout is part of his point of difference.
